5 of 5 people found the following review helpful  Updated review, November 26, 2013 This review is from: Starlite Disney Cars C7200PD 7-Inch Portable DVD Player (Red) (Electronics) So, this is really adorable and my 3 year old son LOVES it, however I wouldn't consider it truly portable since it has to be plugged in. We were upgrading from another portable DVD player that truly IS portable (you can charge it, unplug it, watch it anywhere), so I'm a little disappointed that this probably won't work for what I needed it for (at football games and in his bed). It IS my fault since it doesn't specifically say in the description that it can be unplugged, I had just assumed from the word "portable" in the title. I would send it back, but my son is already in love :/
UPDATE: I am changing my review to 5 star since the DVD player randomly began working without being plugged in. Initially I had had it plugged in for 3 hours before trying it without the cord. It shut off. After being plugged in overnight, it has played a full movie with no cords. I'm guessing it just needed to charge for longer than I thought. However, after only using it a handful of times, the speakers are broken. In the process of trying to return it now... The player would not play any DVD's an error message came up every time we tried to play a DVD. Returned it for another one. The second player kept skipping when viewing movies.
