I couldn't be happier with the purchase. The DVD player we purchased is a Phillips 9” player, model PD9000/37; it is a flip-open model that doesn't swivel. The player came with it’s own case for the back of the headrest but it was cheaply made and stretched outed of spec very quickly; pretty much to the point of being unusable. I came across this on during an internet search for a replacement. We saw this one, the price was right, reviews were good, so we made the purchase. Installing it into the car was a breeze. The DVD player we have fits perfectly. Best of all there appears to be no sag in the product due to the player’s weight. When we need to remove the player to change the DVD the single velcro strap design makes the change effortless. I have told my friends who have kids about the product. Easy to use and well made!, January 28, 2015 This review is from: TFY Universal Car Headrest Mount Holder for Portable DVD Player (Electronics) We recently purchased the TFY Universal Car head rest mount holder for a portable DVD player to use with our Sylvania DVD player (model - SDVD9805) Having purchased only one mount we were able to see the benefits of using your product vs not using it quite clearly. Overall impression - We love it! So much better than just the strap included with the DVD player. It seems to be quite durable, stays firmly in place, and the DVD player is easily removed when we need to remove it for personal use outside the car. The one suggestion I would mention is that it seems that we need to remove the DVD player from the mount in order to insert a DVD. It would be much more convenient to be able to leave it mounted and still be able to insert a DVD. The mount was easily installed in our 2014 Ford Expedition and seems to be very securely fastened. I was hesitant at first because not a lot of people have purchased it but there was not a lot of available mount for the dvd player size i have. The player i use is sylvania 10inch.
It was really easy to install; i usually ask my husband to do that type of stuff but i did it myself. It fits the headrest perfectly; we have toyota highlander. The best thing about it is you can take the player out and put it back on with no hassle. Makes it very convenient when we park in a public space where we fear that somebody may break into our car if the dvd player is visible. The velcrow are strong enough to hold d player for the duration of the long trip. Also it's perfect for players with remote control as it does not cover the front.
